For many years, science has been aware of the positive and negative effects of certain weather events on the wellbeing of the human being. Weather may increase pain, trigger or intensify medical ailments, or affect mood and behaviour.

With as much as 50% of any country’s population suffering from weather sensitivity, the time has come to provide the public with useful bioweather forecasts, which allow groups or individuals to plan their daily lives and take control of their wellbeing. Bioweather forecasts can give patients with an underlying illness the necessary warning to prevent further damage to their health.

With this in mind, Global Bioweather, which is operated by Bioweather Australia, has begun issuing bioweather forecasts in October 2006 to the populations of Australia and New Zealand.

The public response to the forecasts was staggering, which prompted the team behind Global Bioweather to expand into the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada and most recently into the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Our forecasts are a free service based on the present medical and biometeorological knowledge, but are not medical advice. Please read our disclaimer here.
